Legal information
Returns, Exchanges and Refunds
This policy applies to books sold directly in Colombia and to the free digital edition. It is governed by Colombia’s Consumer Statute, Law 1480 of 2011, and its regulations. It does not limit any rights the law gives you.
1. Books bought on Amazon
Amazon handles changes, returns and warranties under its own terms. I do not receive those books.
2. Books bought directly from me
These are physical copies shipped from Medellín to destinations in Colombia. Orders are arranged over WhatsApp.
3. Defects, damage or failure to comply with the order
If a book arrives with a printing or quality defect, or is damaged in shipping, you have the legal warranty rights established by law. Contact me through WhatsApp or the contact form with photos of the book and packaging. I will first offer a replacement. If replacement is not possible, I will refund the money as legally required. I cover transport costs that the law assigns to me for a warranty claim.
4. Right of withdrawal for non-personalized books
When legally applicable, if you bought a physical book remotely without a personalized dedication, you may exercise the right of withdrawal within five business days after delivery. Contact me and return the book in the same condition in which you received it. The buyer pays return shipping for a withdrawal. I will refund the money within thirty calendar days after you exercise that right.
5. Books with personalized dedications
A book with a dedication written specifically for you is personalized and may be exempt from the right of withdrawal under the law. This does not limit any legal rights you have for defects, quality issues or failure to comply with the order.
6. Free digital edition
Sobreviviendo a mis muertos is a free gift for subscribers, so there is no purchase to refund. If the download fails, I will restore access or resend the link.
