Books by Yenny Astrid Londoño

Stories that started in real life and somehow ended up in a book

I write about what I know: people, loss, relationships, family, work, mistakes, grief, business, human stupidity, and our remarkable talent for making life more complicated than it needs to be.

Some of these books came from things that hurt. Others came from situations so absurd that writing them down was cheaper than staying angry about them. You’ll find memory, dark humor, sarcasm, criticism, true stories, and the parts of life people usually talk about only after they stop pretending everything has a neat explanation.

I don’t write every book the same way because not every story needs the same voice. Some are better told laughing. Some still hurt. And some need both.

Where should I start?

Not everyone lands on this page looking for the same thing. Sometimes you want to laugh. Sometimes you want to understand what happened to you. Sometimes you arrive because grief rearranged your life.

If you want to start with my voice and my own story
Start with Putas historias, putos escritos — or F*cked-Up Stories, Brutally Honest Words if you prefer English. That’s where my own life, relationships, family, loss, bad decisions, good decisions, and the way I learned to look at life all collide.
If you need to laugh at everyday life
No estoy loca, estoy rodeada de incompetentes and 100 formas de hacer el ridículo sin perder la dignidad come from two very human pleasures: watching other people create chaos and, with slightly less enthusiasm, recognizing our own.
If you’re trying to understand someone who left you wondering what the hell happened
No todos los hijos de puta vienen con advertencia looks at people who hide their intentions well. Gente de mierda con excelente autoestima looks at the ones who genuinely believe they did nothing wrong.
If gurus, easy money, and internet promises fascinate you
Los millonarios que necesitan tu dinero looks at the business of selling financial freedom to people who, oddly enough, need to hand over their credit card first.
If you came here because someone died
Sobreviviendo a mis muertos — and Surviving My Dead in English — is not a five-step grief guide. It is about what remains: memory, guilt, dates, objects, family, anger, faith, fear, and the strange obligation to keep living.

These books did not all come from the same place

My books resemble each other because I wrote them, but they are not the same story in different clothes. Some look inward: memory, family, loss, relationships, and decisions that only make sense years later.

Others look outward: everyday incompetence, difficult people, fake gurus, ego, and the endless collection of situations that would be far less interesting if humans did not insist on making them complicated.

I have no interest in writing the same book over and over with a new cover. Each one should have a reason to exist.

True stories, not court transcripts

A lot of what I write begins with real experiences: people I knew, conversations, losses, relationships, work, business, family, and things that actually happened.

But writing is not security-camera footage. Memory selects. Narrative organizes. Some people need to remain unnamed. Some stories need distance. And sometimes a personal experience ends up representing something much larger than the moment that started it.

They are books. Not sworn testimony.

Dark humor and serious things

Humor does not make grief smaller, and it does not turn pain into a joke. Sometimes it simply gives you another angle from which to look at it.

You can miss someone and still remember the ridiculous thing they once did. You can talk about a relationship that broke you and, years later, see how absurd parts of it were. Emotions have never had the courtesy to arrive one at a time. My books don’t either.

Readers’ Club

Some books are bought. Others arrive because you decided to stick around.

The Readers’ Club is how I stay in touch with people who actually want to keep reading. I do not send daily emails, and I have no intention of turning your inbox into a sales department.

I write when there is something worth telling: a new book, a review, a project, a story, or an idea that is not ready to become a book but deserves more than a social post.

When a free digital edition or reader gift is active, subscribers can access it from here, including Sobreviviendo a mis muertos when applicable.

Are all books available in the same formats?

There are still stories waiting

This library is not finished. That would be worrying. I still have things to write, people to observe, memories to sort through, and a few questions that will probably end up becoming books.

The books you see here are the ones that already made it out of my head. The rest are still waiting their turn.
